DataCenter Interconnect VPLS approach

We are planning to migrate our Data Center. For simplicity we are taking into consideration DC interconnect option, and  for DCI we are planning to use VPLS, we are taking 2 VPLS link of  100 mbps each and connecting directly to 3750 internal core switches as we dnt have 3750 Metro Ethernet switches

Also do 3750 E series will work in this case as we dnt have 3750 ME switches,or 6500  or ASR 1k as of now with us?

Also is the BW taken (200 mpbs) is enough for this DCI approach?

Planning to run trunk directly by connecting the VPLS link to internal 3750 E switch and allowing Vlans statically for layer 2 reachability between two DC on the VPLS link. Also do this approach work or we must need a layer 3 interface at both end of VPLS link and then we enable routing in between our local Vlans and layer 3 /30 interface on 3750 switch.
