Nexus 5558 SPAN Limitations

I know this has been asked before but I need some clarification.  The following is in the configuration guide for the 5548's and 6.x code.

Guidelines and Limitations for SPAN
SPAN traffic is rate-limited to 1Gbps by default so the switchport monitor rate-limit 1G interface command is not supported. Also, to avoid impacting monitored production traffic:
o SPAN is rate-limited to 5 Gbps for every 8 ports (one ASIC).
o RX-SPAN is rate-limited to 0.71 Gbps per port when the RX-traffic on the port exceeds 5 Gbps.

Is the SPAN rate limited to 1Gbps across the board or only when traffic exceeds 5Gbps?  I have a client that would like to setup a bi-dir monitor session on several 1Gb and 10Gb interfaces and send that traffic either down a dedicated destination interface or down the uplink.

For example on a 5548:

Source interfaces: e1/9 - e1/12  (these interfaces are up at 10g connected to servers)

Destination interface: po201 (e1/1-2)
