Hi all, I'm having an issue after upgrading a5596t , since the first reboot, no way to access the device, even the console port is not showing anything.

Does someone already face this issue?

Thank you

I'm afraid your 5596 is a useless brick now. Contact TAC and get it replaced:

CSCui28946

Headline:  Cisco Nexus 5596T fails to boot

Affected Platforms:

CSCui28946 can only occur on the Cisco Nexus 5596T switch.

Symptom: Following an upgrade to Cisco NX-OS Release 5.2(1)N1(5) and loss of power, the Cisco Nexus 5596T switch fails to boot up. No output is seen on the console session. This issue is specific to the Cisco Nexus 5596T model switch. Other Cisco Nexus 5xxx switches such as the Cisco Nexus 5010, 5020, 5548P, 5548UP and 5596UP are not affected.

Conditions: This issue is seen if a Cisco Nexus 5596T switch is upgraded to NX-OS Release 5.2(1)N1(5) from a release earlier than NX-OS Release 5.2(1)N1(4) and then power cycled.

Workaround: If a Cisco Nexus 5596T switch is already in this condition, it cannot be recovered in the field and needs to be replaced. If the switch is not in this condition, perform an intermediate upgrade to NX-OS Release 5.2(1)N1(4) and then to NX-OS Release 5.2(1)N1(5).
