Nexus 6001 %ETHPORT-5-IF_DOWN_ERROR_DISABLED: Interface Ethernet101/1/15 is down (Error disabled. Reason:Disabled by Server Mgr triggered)

Dear all,

we observed following log messages on a Nexus 6001:

%ETHPORT-5-IF_DOWN_ERROR_DISABLED: Interface Ethernet101/1/15 is down (Error disabled. Reason:Disabled by Server Mgr triggered)

%ETHPORT-5-IF_DOWN_ERROR_DISABLED: Interface Ethernet101/1/16 is down (Error disabled. Reason:Disabled by Server Mgr triggered)

Both ports a configured as trunk ports but in interface shutdown by configuration. Any idea why we see these message every second ?

Hi,

I'm seeing the same problem here. Did you ever find a solution to this problem?

Hi, I'm not longer

Hi,

I'm not longer investigating and waste time. For me it looked like cosmetic.

I have the same problem, but

I have the same problem, but with me it is not cosmetic: the interface  just doesn't come up. it is configured, hp enclosure runs the latest OA software and server (gen 9) is inserted, however, any interface in fex refuses to come online...fex itself is "online" and sees the enclosure.

BW parameters of a port gives strange results:

# sh int Eth159/1/1
Ethernet159/1/1 is down (Disabled by Server Mgr) <- a server is inserted into slot 1
  Hardware: 1000/10000 Ethernet, address: f44e.05d0.0382 (bia f44e.05d0.0382)
  Description: FCOE Server Port
MTU 1500 bytes, BW 23 Kbit, DLY 10 usec <- strange, any ideas ?
