Nexus 7010

Anyone ever see this error I trying to find out what it means.

%$ VDC-1 %$ %EEM_ACTION-6-INFORM: Packets dropped due
to IDS check length consistent on module 1

Try disabling the IDS feature on the n7k.

This message essentially means the following:

length consistent - Drops IP packets where the Ethernet frame size is greater than or 
equal to the IP packet length plus the Ethernet header.

You can do an inband capture if this is happening constantly but if it just happened a few times, I would not worry about it.
