Nexus 7k non- default VDC and vPC keepalive

I have a question. I have a pair of nexus 7k's running in production. They are configured on the default VDC and using the mgmt0 interface as the vPC keepalive link. I created a new VDC labeled TEST and wanted to setup vPC and fabricpath on my new VDC. But should I use the test VDC mgmt0 for my keepalives or will that break my production setup? Can I set it up over an SVI ? Any advice would be appreciated!

Thanks
Timmyz

You can re-use the mgmt0 interface for vPC keep alive in the new VDC.

This interface can have a unique IP address in each VDC.
