RHI ISSUE: Removed static routes in the FWSM still appearing in the SUP 720 routing table

Hi.

I have a 6509-E SWITCH with a SUPERVISOR 720-10G and a FWSM configured with multiple contexts.

The FWSM version is 4.0.8 and the SUP IOS version is 12.2(33)SXI3.

One of the FWSM context is configured in routed mode, and is injecting or redistributing static routes to the MSFC with RHI. The issue Im having is that when I remove one the the static routes from the FWSM context, it still appears in the MSFC as learned via RHI from the FWSM context. Dont know if the sup is not removing the rhi route, or the fwsm is not informing the sup to remove the static route.

Any input will be highly appreciated.

Thanks.

Re: RHI ISSUE: Removed static routes in the FWSM still appearing

Hi.

is your RHI config using an acl for RHI redistribution? if yes, then you  might be facing CSCsz58492 which is fixed in 4.0(8.1) and higher.

if this isn't the case, can you show the rhi related config and the outputs from the switch?

Regards,

Fadi.
