CISCO 760 Problems

Our router has developed a problem whereby after connecting to the internet we cannot connect again without rebooting the router. Telnetting into the router shows the ISDN line as up - if we reboot or do a "Disconnect All" we can connect again for a few minutes. It's as if the ISDN line gets into a state of neither up nor down. ISP has been of no help - I need someway of proving where the fault lies.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Noel Addis

In most cases where a router that was working fine earlier suddenly develops a problem, all that might be required is to upgrade or simply reinstall the IOS. That works pretty well in most cases. The procedure is explained in detail at http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/access/acs_fix/750/700ug43/700ugxtm.htm#xtocid213684

You might also want to refer to Cisco 700 Series Frequently Asked Questions at http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/routers/ps331/products_qanda_item09186a0080093dd1.shtml.
