I have a 6509 with 2 msfc cards and would like to setup dhcp for 10 vlans. We set up ip helper addresses on the vlans and dhcp is working but I am seeing duals broadcast because we have the configs the same on both msfc cards. Is there a differant way to set this up on the 6509 ?

Pls where are you seeing this dual broadcast. Your MSFC are set up as HSRP ( I presume) so that means you devices will only receive one gateway address. Yes, you correctly set up each vlan with the ip helper address of the dhcp server but then only one of the MSFC will be in active state and thereby will send request to the DHCP Server for ip addresses.
SO for e.g.
interface Vlan5
ip address x.x.x.x
ip helper-address y.y.y.y
standby 5 ip z.z.z.z
standby 5 priority 120
So the DHCP is set up with z.z.z.z as the gateway and the devices in vlan 5 will read y.y.y.y as the helper address and go to the dhcp server to retrieve addresses. But you must have your HSRP configured properly.
Hope this helps!

looking further I see user areas are set with one msfc and the server vlans with the other as active . This may be the problem.
