No dialer commands available

Hi all,

I'm trying to configure an ISDN backup line on my Cisco 1603 router. I would activate the line if the serial interface should go down, routing IP and IPX protocols. I've tried a configuration generated by Config Maker with all necessary commands but didn't work on my router and it seems that the version istalled doesn't have the dialer command at all.

IOS version is 12.0T IPX/IP

Any idea?

I think that all IOS supports DDR. Do you want your backup to cover the primary with 24X7 protection or do you just want the backup to activate when traffic is queued and then shut down until more traffic? Of course, the fancier you get, the more complicated the config. It is all manageable though. This link leads to several DDR sites on CCO. Everything you need to know is there:

I am not a big fan of config maker because it is really intended to get a router off the starting line. Doesn't support "extras" like DDR very well.
