rate limiting for ingress traffic in Cisco 2960 L2 Switch

We have a requirement to restrict the ingress bandwidth to 512 kbps on a fastethernet port in Cisco 2960 L2 switch. Would be helpful if somebody let me know at the earliest.

you can perform ingress and egress bandwidth allocation on the 2960.

Is there any way to restrict bandwidth as low as 256K on a fastethernet port on 2960?

Document says about restricting from a minimum of 1 Mbps and multiples of it.

Hii raj,

the basic l2 switches can only police in multiples of 1 M, for minute limiting u will have to use higher l3 3500 switches or u can use a router with an l2 switch creating encapsulation.
