I have between 2 layer 2 segment Win2K Server, which route between.
Within the seperated segments the VTP information works fine.
How do I get the VTP information synchronized between the seperated segments ?

Marc,
If you have a device in-between that does not understand VTP (Which is a Cisco proprietary) then the device if not BRIDGING would drop those VTP packets, also VTP packets are sent in either ISL frames or in dot1q frames. These packets are sent to the destination MAC address 01-00-0c-cc-cc-cc, hence the reason they do not get across multiple segments.
I assume the WIN2K box is acting as a router and a router should (does not have to ) drops mulicast and Broadcasts.
So if you want these VTP messages to go through look at configuring the WIN box to fwd mulicast which i personally do not think is a good idea nor good practice and as far as i know does not support bridging.

Hi.
The same would happen if you had a normal router instead of W2K doing routing. Any layer 3 device breaks VTP.

You would have to bridge the VTP frames between the 2 segments.
