1000Base-Tx or 1000Base-T ?

I see a lot of Datasheets on the Cisco web telling that the products do support 1000Base-Tx.

Are we speaking about the true 1000Base-Tx (TIA 854 - ratified inJuly of 2001) or are we speaking about the 1000BaseT (IEEE 802.3ab ratified in June 1999).

It's strange to see such misunderstanding...Is it just a typing error ?

TIA 854 is Lucent's brainchild. They tried to start a standards activity within IEEE, but couldn't get critical mass, so they went to EIA/TIA. Ergo, "true" 1000Base-Tx is a bit of a misnomer. As far as I know, Cisco as well as the majority of the industry currently supports the IEEE solution.
