100BASE-FX ports to Which mini-GBIC card?

I currently have four Catalyst 2950C switches and one Catalyst 2970 switch. I would like to hook up my four 2950 switches via the FX ports to the mini-GBIC slots on the 2970.

Which mini-GBIC modules do I need for the 2970 to make this possible?

Unfortunately, I am 99% sure they do not make a mini-GBIC for 100FX connections. You would have to buy a third party transceiver to convert from fiber to copper and connect it to a copper 10/100 port on the 2970.

Post applicable port info from:

show interface capabilites

to see if the ports are capable of working with each other.

See example:

GigabitEthernet0/24

Model: WS-C2970G-24T-E

Type: 10/100/1000BaseTX

Speed: 10,100,1000,auto

Duplex: half,full,auto

You would want to look at the first few lines on each switch.

There are available 100FX SFPs available, however none are supported on the 2950. The GLC-GE-100FX= is supported on the 2970. See below for more info:
