Re: 1600 IOS issue

This article describes how to do it on 2600, however it should be the same for a 1600.

Hello,

in addition to the other posts, since you already have a working IOS on your router, connect the Ethernet port of your router (using a crossover cable) to a PC running a TFTP server software (such as TFTPD32, which you can download here:

http://www.tusafe.com/nonags/servd32.html

--> scroll down to the file called TFTPD32)

then, at the router prompt, type:

1601#copy tftp flash:

and follow the prompts; when asked if you want to erase the flash, say '(Y)es', this will delete the old IOS.

Just make sure that the IP address of the Ethernet interface of the router is in the same subnet as that of your PC.

HTH,

Re: 1600 IOS issue

Hi,

Used the Xmodem approach to erase flash, then reloaded IOS normally.

Thanks A lot for your help.
