1603 to 765 only in one direction

We have a dial on demand connection between a 1603 and a 765 router. When the 1603 connects to the 765 everything works fine. But when the 765 connects to the 1603 there's no network traffic possible. The connection does exist however. It's not even possible to ping the the ISDN side of the 1603.

Anybody seen this before, and has a helpfull hint?
