i have private t1 connectin g two cites with 1720 routers. Upon running a large database app, the intermittently stops transmitting and the application times out. Here is how i conclude this I watch the link light on the computer as I run the app along with the link light on the router. There is plently of files to be transfered, but the lights stop? Any suggestions

If you're losing link, I would start checking the cabling. If the link is being lost on the WAN port only, contact your Telco Circuit provider and have them open a trouble ticket. It could be a problem with premises wiring.

I have tested using a variety of methods. I have done extended over night pings and, they are no drops or lost packets. It seems to happen with this application only and very sporadically.
