1st bri channel goes up and down

i have a 2610 dialing to another 2610 that has been working for months. Nobody else touches these things - the config has not changed.

a couple of days ago the 1st channel started dropping. It will connect for a while (500-some seconds) and then disconnect.

What debug(s) are most appropriate

The best debug options for ISDN are:

debug isdn q931 or debug isdn q921

Given that the line holds for so long there is no point debugging the negotiation or authorisation because they obviously succeed.

Debugging isdn q921 will allow you to look at whats happening on layer 2. If, say for instance, there was a circuit fault, or faulty exchange device you would see the presence of SABMEp being transmitted. These packets effectively tell the signal channel (d-channel) to reset due a fault. This will cause the circuit to momentarily go down and come back up.

here is q931. When i captured this only the '2073'number was 'active'.

This might be a problem with the DOT or the ISP..

Can you give us the outputs of debug ppp negotiation and debug ppp authentication to exatly see the issue ?
