2 ISDN lines into one BRI Port

1. Can we club two 128 Kbps ISDN BRI lines into one BRI port?

2. Can we make 2 BRI ports' output (128+128Kbps) into one Channel?

Plz help me in this regard and give detailed description and configuration if above scenarios are possible.

Thanx

Chandra

Re: 2 ISDN lines into one BRI Port

You can connect only one ISDN line to a single BRI interface.

Re: 2 ISDN lines into one BRI Port

Thanx Leo,

Atleast can I make 2 BRI ports output into one channel(I need 256Kbps ISDN line). I heard that it is possible.

And one more question! can I split 128 Kbps ISDN line into 2 lines.

Regards

Chandra

Re: 2 ISDN lines into one BRI Port

That is all possible. One ISDN line consists of two independant 64kb channels that can be bundled for extra bandwidth. If this is not sufficient, you can add more links. Check the info about DDR (Dial on Demand Routing) at CCO for configuration tips.
