--- System Configuration Dialog ---

At any point you may enter a question mark '?' for help.

Use ctrl-c to abort configuration dialog at any prompt.

Default settings are in square brackets '[]'.

Would you like to enter the initial configuration dialog? [yes]:

It has a CMOS inbuilt with the chip.

So can anyone help to rewrite it

thanks in advance

Hello,

this message tells you that you erased your startup config and that there is no valid startup configuration in NVRAM, and that, when you reload, you'll be in setup mode.

If you keep getting that message and if you keep being put into the system configuration dialog, most likely the configuration-register settings are not correct:

1. Reload your router and if you are asked if you want to enter the initial setup configuration dialog, say NO

2. In enable mode, type:

Router(config)#config-register 0x2102

3. Write the configuration to nvram with the command:

wr mem

and reload the router. Now you should not get the message again.

Regards,

Georg
