2600 logging to win2k server

Can anyone tell me how to configure my 2600's to log messages to a win2k server?

The command: logging <ip address> is straight forward, but how can I tell if my win2k server got any messages and where would it send them?

Or if there is a solution for the router to keep syslog messages in the buffer even after a reload, that would work also.

You need to be running syslog server functionality on the Windows server. You can get this as part of CiscoWorks or run a 3rd party package. There are a number of freeware ones available. Just do a google search.

One of the freewares is KIWI Syslog Daemon. Download and run it on a windows 2k server. After started the syslogd service, it would automatically start receiving the logs and you can see it in its display window. This can even auto archive and have lots of other features as well.
