2610 Configuration copying

I have 13 separate branches belonging to my WAN. Each has its own 2610 router, talking to a frame-relay circuit.

I have a "hot" spare router sitting in my office, in case of failure, and would like to save each router's configuration to disk, if possible, to expedite the configuration of a replacement router.

For some reason, I have a memory that this is a function of the Cisco IOS. Can anyone assist me in doing this via a telnet session with each router?

I just copy all my configurations into text files with notepad. I have found, however, when going into config t and pasting a large configuration with many subinterfaces, that a few may get skipped. You can reconfigure in minutes but do need to double check.

You could "copy running-config tftp" or you could purchase Kiwi CatTools at:

http://www.kiwisyslog.com/index.htm

It's a handy utility that backups configs on a schedule and also keeps changed configs in a history file.

I would copy the configs to a TFTP server. You can designate a workstation for this. Use the "copy running-config tftp" command.
