2611 and IPSec

I have a T1 coming into a WIC card. The router has 2 enet ports. First enet port goes to a firewall that performs NAT. I am trying to practice setting up IPSec. Can I just enable IPSec and NAT on the second enet interface using an available public IP without affecting the network of the first enet interface?

Unless the two ethernet interfaces were in separate subnets, I don't see how you could. The IOS should tell you that there is an overlap, and not allow the second interface to be addressed.
