2651XM and 1760 Back-to-Back

I know this is basic but for the life of me I can't get it to work. I have the above routers connected via a T1 crossover cable to VWIC-1MFT-T1 cards. I have the 2651XM (12.2.15.T7) set to:

controller T1 0/0

framing esf

clock source internal

linecode b8zs

channel-group 1 timeslots 1-24

and the 1760 (12.2.8.YJ)set to:

tdm clock T1 0/1 both export line

tdm clock T1 0/0 both import T1 0/1 line

controller T1 0/0

framing esf

linecode b8zs

channel-group 1 timeslots 1-24

I can't get the Line Protocol to stay up. I know it has to do with both being DTE but I can't find where to change one to DCE.

If this is a T1 then you need to use the command,

channel-group 1 timeslots 1-24 speed 64. Without the speed command, it defaults to 56 K.

That helped but now the Line Protocol is bouncing. Before all the packets between the routers were just Frame Errors, now they are Frame and CRC Errors and packets input was 0 now some are getting in.

I just replaced the cable and all is well now. Thanks.
