2691 with memory maxed out. Will it be able to handle the load of full BGP internet routing table ? I know that a min of 70 MB is needed just for holding the routing table, but want to know if the CPU is capable of handling this load, if enough memory is available.
You might be able to do a single view (a single provider connection), but two wouldn't be likely to work from a memory perspective. I think the processor would be okay, just that things would be really slow. I'd probably consider taking partial routes (default + routes that originate within the provider's AS) unless you really need more than that.
This is actually a pretty cool feature, i didn't even know it existed until I was looking for a solution to advertise a subnet (prefix in BGP talk), only if a certain condition existed. This is exactly what conditional advertisements does
