2924XL Switch

I just got a 2924XL switch from my corporate headquarters with no IOS installed. I've been trying to load the latest .bin with no success.

I get the switch: prompt and then enter copy xmodem:flash:2900xl.bin 2900.bin

I then get the prompt to start the file transfer and use hyperterminal to do so. After a few seconds hyperterminal says "transfer cancelled by remote system".

When I acknowledge that prompt the switch then says "permission denied"

Any suggestions on what I'm doing wrong?

What is the flow control in the hyperterminal set to? Set flowcontrol to "none" and try

Thanks for the feedback. HT is configured 9600, 8, N, 1, No Flow control.

Switch still won't accept the .bin file.
