2940 IOS upgrade failure

Hi,

Recently i'm upgrading our cisco switches. Among them are some 2940 switches. Cisco lists as requirements:

C2940 IOS IMAGE AND WEB BASED DEVICE MANAGER

c2940-i6q4l2-tar.121-22.EA7.tar

Published 02/Feb/2006

C2940 IOS IMAGE AND WEB BASED DEVICE MANAGER

Size: 4690 KB

Minimum Memory: DRAM:16MB Flash:8MB

However, the info files in the .tar list 32MB as requirement, resulting in an upgrade failure. I have edited the info files but to no avail. Does anyone have a workaround for this?

Re: 2940 IOS upgrade failure

The problem is probably that you unpacked the .tar files. Please use the appropriate upgrade procedure instead:

or contact a Cisco Partner.

For your location this is: Active View: 078-699111

Regards,

Leo
