2950 Switch not usable

We had a power outage the other day and the 2950 did not come back. I connected a console to it and saw the following message

!!! WARNING: The switch is nto usable !!!

Reason: Device test failed for age RAM data

I rebooted the switch and it came up ok. Does anyone know what that error means?

Re: 2950 Switch not usable

Hi,

This message indicates a hardware failure. Looking at the message, it appears to be related to the DRAM. Even though a reboot seems to have cleared it, it's best to open a TAC SR and have the switch replaced. Please attach to the case the bootup output that displays the POST output, including the referenced messages to document the failure.

HTH,

Bobby
