I have several 2950s installed in the last 10 months which I configured with IP address, gateway, DNS, time and date, location and disabling spanning tree. But some of the switches lose their time and date and DNS settings so they've reverted to the defaults when I log back into them some time later. What causes this and how can I fix it?
Thanks for any insight.

What's the uptime? Are they restarted?
Those switches doesnt (AFAIK) have any hardware calendar, so the time/date is resetted at restart. Need a NTP to keep them on correct time/date.
Doesnt explain the DNS-info tho....

The uptime is now 3-4 months. No power outages. I saved the running-config to startup-config when I set them up Do I need to restart them after doing that? Also can contact some thru CMS from my office, others I can only contact thru CMS if I'm on site. No difference in setup. Software version is 12.1(13)EA1. Do I need to upgrade.
