3524XL Cluster Manager Java Problem

Five switches on cluster manager (all same IOS 12.0(5.2)XU, configs, etc.) but one has a problem when opening Cluster Manager...Java errors occur and inaccessible to configure using Switch Manager..Here's the errors:

java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException

at SVCreatePorts.<init>(SVCreatePorts.java:248)

at DeviceManager.ConfigureStack(DeviceManager.java:712)

at SMCliInit.run(SMCliInit.java:150)

java.lang.NullPointerException

at DeviceManager.stop(DeviceManager.java:504)

at sun.applet.AppletPanel.run(Unknown Source)

at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source)

Ideas??

Re: 3524XL Cluster Manager Java Problem

Please go through the troubleshooting steps in this doc

http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/473/59.html

and check the release notes:

http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/lan/c2900xl/29_35xu/1061501.htm

You may want to upgrade to the latest version and try again.

Re: 3524XL Cluster Manager Java Problem

Are you absolutely sure you are using the same IOS version running on the same hardware?

I've noticed similar problem in the past - Cluster Manager was breaking my browser - and the fix was to install the international (Sun) version of the Java plug-in instead of the american one downloaded from CCO.

Yes, I've checked everything - even did the fix suggested by Cisco (upgrade IOS) - unfortunately, now the switch is fubar and we're 500 miles away from the switch. More to come but I like the idea of the Sun version. I think I'll give that a try
