How to active telnet session on 3548 switch. One one can help me.

you need to configure a vlan 1 interface (default management interface) with an IP address first

and they you use the following to congigure password for telnet.

I'm using vlan 330 as management VLAN. In this case do I need to configure the IP address with VLAN 330?

yes. make sure the default gateway is correct as well. In order to make vlan330 as the management, you need issue the command "management" under that interface.
