When I push the "Stat" button one of my 3550-48's (to see the bandwidth utilization), all the LEDs on the front panel lights up. Now this 3550 has 23 2950-24's connected to it via 100MB trunks, as well as a 2980 via a Gig trunk, and another 3550-48 via the second Gig port. It also has 13 servers connected to it.
The second 3550-48 also lights up all its LEDs when the "Stat" button is pressed. This switch only has an dual etherchannel trunk connecting a Cat5505 to it.
Both 3550's are running the EMI, and I am load balancing all our VLANs between them (each routing 8 VLANs). The CPU utilization peaks at 7%, but both are running at 5% during normal office hours.
Any idea why the bandwidth utilization is indicated so high?
