3550 - Egress rate-limiting on trunk port

Hi,

Can I do EGRESS rate-limiting on a FE trunk port on a 3550 ? I don't care about VLANs, I want to rate-limit specific traffic (DSCPs) no matter which VLAN it is in.

Is this supported ?

Tx,

Frank

You can ensure that certain packets have priority over all others by queuing them in the egress expedite queue and also specify the amount of bandwidth allocated for each queue. This way you would be able to do a rate limiting for DSCP.
