Why would you configure a "routed interface" on a 3550. I can think of a scenario to make me understand why I would do a no switchport and add the ip address directly to a port vs. having it in a vlan.
Can you use this feature together with routed vlans or is one or the other, I would like to put an IP address on a routed port and connect it possibly directly to another router or routed port on another switch.
