3550 Stack

If I connect 5 3550 switches in a GigaStack module, the connection must come back from the last switch to the first switch to complete the loop. Correct?

Can I manage all (5) switches through 1 management IP address, or will I am gonna assign IP address to each switch.

In CLI, The switch should show the combined port of all five switches. Correct?

Thanks

Thanks

Re: 3550 Stack

Three questions, 3 replies (not answers!!)

1. If you loop, IOS MUST be 12.1(4)EA1 or later on ALL switches.

2. Do you want to cluster the switches? I do not use clusters, your choice.

3. Unsure what you are asking.

Re: 3550 Stack

The 3rd question was if I stack the switches then in order for me to do the configuration for example, creating VTP Domains, Assigning port to VLANs etc, will I have to connect to each switch in a stack or will I be able to do it from one switch
