3550, vlan database & Ctrl^Z functioning sometimes

I did found out that Ctrl^Z abort key is functioning in vlan database config mode. However sometimes.

I3550T Version 12.1(9)EA1c

Switch#vlan data

Switch(vlan)#vtp tr [now press Ctrl Z ....AND FUNNY THING!!! ]

Switch(vlan)#vtp transparent ^Z

Device mode already VTP TRANSPARENT.

Switch#

00:43:38: %SYS-5-CONFIG_I: Configured from console by console

Switch#vlan data

Switch(vlan)#vtp cli [I did it again - ^Z]

Switch(vlan)#vtp client ^Z

Setting device to VTP CLIENT mode.

Switch#

Then after while I was unable to exit via Ctrl^Z...

Then after some time I was able to do it again...

Did somebody have a try?

Is it bug?

gubci.

I did not notice this in 12.1(11)EA1. Can you try with this release and let us know what you see?

Re: 3550, vlan database & Ctrl^Z functioning sometimes

Yes it's the same.

Its triggered by entering global config mode (conf t):

3550T>en

3550T#vlan data

3550T#vlan database [This time Ctrl^Z do nothing]

3550T(vlan)#exit

APPLY completed.

Exiting....

3550T#conf t

Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z.

3550T(config)#exit

3550T#vlan data [This time Ctrl^Z works]

3550T(vlan)#^Z

3550T#exit

[exit from console]

3550T con0 is now available

Press RETURN to get started.

3550T>en

3550T#vlan data

3550T(vlan)# [and againg Ctrl^Z do nothing]

3550T(vlan)#exit

APPLY completed.

Exiting....

3550T#

Go try it....

OK...Looks like it's a bug but I did not find one. I suggest that you open a TAC case and the CSE should be able to file one(I would have filed one, but I'm currently vacationing)

Well yes you are exactly right.

It was filled by myself...:)

Anyway It seems to me, thats affect not only 3550-48 as it's in bug description.

We succesfully tested the same bahaviour on 3550T and 2950T.
