3620 Commands

I would like to know what commands I can use to see who is on any of the 24 digital modems installed.

I would also like to know who has been dialed in, like a history report for the last few days.

Thanks

Re: 3620 Commands

If they authenticated, a "show users" or "who" will show who's online.

There's a call tracker database in very recent versions of IOS that may satisfy your history needs. Look at this URL:

Re: 3620 Commands

The show users and who works, but the call tracker doesn't. I have IOS 12.1. Any commands for my version?

Re: 3620 Commands

On our 12.1 RAS, we use the command

modem call-record terse

in combination with logging to a syslog server.

On the syslog server you can either manually examine the records or write scripts to summarize them.

This is an example of a syslog message:

%CALLRECORD-3-MICA_TERSE_CALL_REC: DS0 slot/contr/chan=2/0/30, slot/port=3/2, call_id=857D, userid=johndoe, ip=0.0.0.0, calling=55500575, called=55502553, std=V34+, prot=LAPM, comp = V42bis init-rx/tx b-rate=28800/33600, finl-rx/tx b-rate=33600/28800, rbs=0, d-pad=None, retr=1, rx/tx chars=59464/158651, bad=0, rx/tx ec=1434/1981, bad=0, time=278, finl-state=STEADY, disc(modem)=8220 Rx (line to host) data flushing - OK/EC condition - locally detected/received DISC frame -- normal LAPM termination
