3640 Router IOS Upgrade

Hi,

I have a 3640 router with NM-1FE2W module. I would like to replace the module to NM-2FE-V2 module.

According to cisco.com, I need to upgrade my IOS to either the following IOS version

12.2(12)M, 12.3M and 12.2(13)T3

Can anyone show me the most safety procedure for the upgrade process.
