3640 WIC Cards

I'm looking to install 4 T1 lines to create a 6 Mb pipe for MPLS IP Frame WAN connection. Is this even possible and what kind of WIC cards and configuration will I need? Any suggestion with will be helpful.

Hi,

That is certainly possible using a technology called Multilink PPP. The following link has details on how that works:

A word of caution, though: MLPPP is very CPU-intensive so you may run into problems with that on your 3640. One other option you have is to simply run them as separate T1s and use CEF to load-share over them.

The cards you need are:

- VWIC-2MFT-T1 (2 T1 ports)

- a carrier network module such as NM-HDV or NM-HDV2
