3725+NM-36ESW and multicasting

Hi!

I faced with the strange problem on this platform. When a multicast source is connected to the port on the NM-36ESW module multicast packets not delivered to the vlan interface. I see counters incrementing on the physical L2 interface, but not incrementing on the vlan interface. Consequently mroute table is not updated for the new source. Everything works fine if I hook the multicast source into the L3 on-board fastethernet interface.

Any ideas?

May be it takes a while to get the interface counters to get synched. You could wait and see if the counters increment on the vlan interface as well.
