3745 router: Unexpected exception, CPU signal 5, PC = 0x604FE95C

Hi all,

When I am restarting a 3745 router, I obtain the following message during the bootup process:

Unexpected exception, CPU signal 5, PC = 0x604FE95C

Then, the router resets itself again and again...

What can I do?

Thanks in advance.

Take out all installed network modules and power up the router. If it boots ok, then try inserting one module and see if it boots. If it boots ok insert the next module.

If you determine that the router doesn't boot because of one particular module, replace the module.

If the router doesn't boot without any modules in it, replace the chassis.

If you have a service contract with Cisco, you can open a TAC case and invetigate the problem further and/or replace the faulty component.

If you don't have a service contract directly with Cisco, you should contact de Cisco Partner/Reseller/Distributor from which you purchased the router.

Cheers
