I've got a 3750 stack talking to a router running GateD and I'm having a problem with Loopback0 constantly being installed as a stub area. This is OSPF Area 0.
I've tried changing the network type on loopback0 to point-to-point, I've tried creating a static route pointing to that IP and I've tried changing the ip address on loopback0 to a host ip (255.255.255.255), nothing works. GateD reports that the loopback address is a stub area (and therefore it won't redistribute it into iBGP).
It is normal behavior for the loopback interface to be considered as a stub network since it doesn't have any neighbors. This should not prevent it from being redistributed in BGP though. Could you please post the relevant configs.
