Can someone tell me if I can use a GLC-SX-MM SFP with a 3750 switch? I looked in the software advisor tool and it seems that with IOS release 12.1(14)EA1, only the GLC-T SFP is supported.
Thanks
Antoine

The following URL is the Data sheet for the 3750, this lists GLC-SX-MM= as a valid part number:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/switches/ps5023/products_data_sheet09186a0080161371.html

I also have the datasheet and I saw that. What makes me think there could be a problem is the fact that in the "software advisor" tool:
http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/front.x/Support/HWSWmatrix/hwswmatrix.cgi
you can see that the IOS release 12.1(14)EA1 for the 3750 is compliant with GLC-T and not the other SFPs.
And if you enter GLC-SX-MM, on the right-hand side in the "search by product number" field, you'll see that there's no result.

The SFPs are meant for use especially in the 3750.
If it's anything like the GBICs, the optical transceivers were supported first in the stackable switches, and then later on the 1000BASE-T GBICs were supported. Same sequence happened in the 6500 chassis switches.
The optical SFPs have got to be supported, otherwise no one would have any reason to buy the 3750 (unless all they needed was stackability and copper connections only).
