3750 stack compatibility

Anyone know if a WS-C3750G-24TS-E and WS-C3750G-24TS-1U can be stacked together, assuming they have the same IOS version & feature set?

When I do a "switch 2 provision ?" on the latter (-1u), the other model isn't listed.

The closest model is ws-c3750g-24ts. Is it the same as WS-C3750G-24TS-E? The only difference is the "-E" at the end.

Hi,

Yes, you can stack the 2 switch (WS-C3750G-24TS-E and WS-C3750G-24TS-1U) if they have the same IOS version. Feature set too is not a deciding factor for the stacking of the switches togather. The only other thing that you need to take care is the SDM template that you are running. All the switches should have the same SDM tamplte running on them else you will get an error regarding the SDM Mismatch on the stack.

The only difference between the two switches that you pointed out were the prefixes (-E) and (-1u). The switch WS-C3750G-24TS-E is an enhanced version switch that uses i.5 rack units but the WS-C3750G-24TS-1U is a switch that uses only 1 rack unit. So Rack unit here is the only difference.

Go ahead with the stacking and using the WS-C3750G-24TS for provisioning the switch in the stack master, and everything will be fine.
