I have a stack of (4) 3750 switches. I just had one go out on me. It's been a while since I configured these up and I can't recall how I did it. Unfortunately my documentation was trashed so I can't rely on that.
My question is... when I go to add a new switch to the stack do I have to run the express setup, or can I just plug it into the stack and then configure the ports?
Thanks!

Hello,
basically, you just add the switch to the stack, and the master will download the routing and addresing information, as well as the IOS image running on the master.

Another quick question on 3750's . Say you have an installed 3750 with a certain level of IOS and you install a new switch in the stack with a newer level of IOS does the current switch upgrade itself or does the new switch get downleveled ????

glen,
The master will downgrade the IOS of the new switch to the one it/and other switches presently holds. It will automatically downgrade or do it through a tftp server. It can also put the switch under a suspended state and inform the administrator to manually downgrade the switch. The IOS of all the switches on the cluster should be uniform for the operation to take place.
