3750 switch stacking and prioritization

Simple question but not clearly stated in documentation. I'm stacking 7 3750s. As far as setting the priority on each switch from 1-15 to assume the Master role in event of a master switch failure, is 1 the highest priority or is it 15?

Hello,

the highest one is the priority 15 in the stack.

Re: 3750 switch stacking and prioritization

Thanks Thomas. So switch 1 (Master) prio 15.

switch 2 to to assume the role in event of switch 1 failure prio 14.

switch 3 prio 13.

etc. Well if that happens I think I have a lot more problems to worry about. Thanks again.

yes... here master is elected on the basis of higher priority...
