3750 vlan ip routing

hi all

I´m using a catalyst 3750. First i defined 2 vlans, wich were assigned in the next order.

-vlan 2 using port 3

-vlan 3 using port 5

After that i made a vlan interface (SVI) of vlan 2 and 3, with the next ip address --vlan 2 192.168.2.22/24

- vlan 3 192.168.3.24/24

My ethernet card is configured with the ip 192.168.1.22 /16 son i can send mesages to both ports of the switch.

when i conected my pc with the port 3 of the switch and ping 192.168.2.22 after that there was response.

Then i disconected and conected it again but on the port 5 and ping 192.168.3.24 obviusly there was response again. Just there everything was ok

But when i ping 192.168.2.22 conected on port 5 theres was no response. Then i type in the conf t "ip routing" because it was disabled and I thougth that was the problem but it wasn´t, it got worst.

Because I tried to ping 192.168.3.24 on the port 5 which used to response and there was no response any more with the ip routing enable.

I would like if someone could explain the last and how I could enable ip routing between vlans and be sure that it works with only one ethernet card in my computer ?

Your problem is a mismatch in your subnet masks. With IP routing enabled, your ping to 192.168.3.24 arrives at port 5, but the 3750 has no route (that you have described, anyway) to 192.168.1.22. If it does have a route to that address, it is certainly not on port 5, which has the address 192.168.3.0/24. You need to have your PC's address and mask be consistent with the 3750's interface that you are connected to, or the 3750 will not always find your PC.
