4006 logging

I am trying to set up logging on a 4006. I have found that the message are not going into the log file - i.e. I shut down a port and reopen yet nothing shows up in the buffer. Here is a copy of the show log command

Syslog logging: enabled (0 messages dropped, 0 flushes, 0 overruns)

Console logging: level debugging, 620 messages logged

Monitor logging: level debugging, 0 messages logged

Buffer logging: level debugging, 2245 messages logged

Trap logging: level informational, 2235 message lines logged

Log Buffer (4096 bytes):

Feb 3 14:43:35: %C4K_EBM-4-HOSTFLAPPING: Host 00:00:5E:00:01:07 in vlan 99 is flapping between port Gi2/45 and port Po1

As you can see some info is being sent to the console. Any ideas??

Re: 4006 logging

What do your logging statements look like in your configuration? You can set specific logging levels for different types of facilities:

i.e. set logging level tftp 2 default

set logging level vtp 2 default

Take a look at this URL for some more indepth coverage:

Hope this helps.
