4006-S2 & 4006-S3 upgrade to 4006-S4

We have 4006-S3 and S2, can these be updated to 4006-S4? and how?

Yes.

Buy the SUP IV's, and possibly more RAM. Depending on the amount of RAM you currently have installed in your 4006-SUP III and 4006-SUP II.

Why would you want a Supervisor 4 Engine for a CAT4006 chassis?Supervisor 4 and 3 Engine offers same features but for the redundancy feature of Supervisor 4 in a CAT450x chassis. You cannot have redundant Supervisor Engines in CAT4006 chassis

Why you want to upgrade to s4? But if you need redundancy or some other feature, then contact to your account team they 'll provide you the upgrade path
