Cisco has recently announced the new Sup III for the cat 4000 series. Does this Sup have Layer 3 routing as part of the card, or do I still need to purchase the 4232 L3 card? Is there any more information on this new Supervisor card that I can read?
Thanks,
Ivan

The new SupIII has Layer 3 as part of the supervisor. You only need to purchase software licenses for routing features.

That info looks great. Thank you for clearing that up for me. I can now get an additional 16 10/100 ports in my Cat 4000, and get advanced QoS.
Thanks,
Ivan
